A quote from the movie Confession of a Shopaholic that strike a chord in me.
This is the part where Rebecca’s dad offered to sell off the trailer in order to help pay off her debts.
Rebecca Bloomwood: No, I won’t allow you to do this. It defines you. The trailer absolutely defines you.
Rebecca Bloomwood’s Dad: Nothing defines me. What defines me is you and your mom.
Here’s where one go ‘awwwww’. :p
But seriously, it reminded me that my worth and identity is not based on the clothes I wear (God knows how I often wish I had better fashion sense!), the company I keep, the brand I use but rather the relationship I have with people and most importantly God.
What defines you or me?
